Kutta Vanchi (Coracle Boat)
The Kutta Vanchi or coracle is a small, roundish shaped, lightweight boat of the sort traditionally using in Kerala for fishing and travelling. The Kuttickattil Gardens Homestay offer a Free Kutta Vanchi safari or coracle ride during the stay at our Homestay. It is a very good experience to our guest to ride in the coracle Boat. We provide safety life jackets during the boating time. The life jacket wearied are only be allowed to enjoy the coracle Boating. This coracle boating is most popular in Hoganakkal in Tamil Nadu state of India.
Swimming River
Swimming is beneficial in this regard not only because it can provide an aerobic workout, but also because the resistance provided by the water builds muscle, which helps with blood sugar control. All in all, swimming is a great workout for your body. It works your lungs, heart and the muscles of your entire body.
Fishing Point
The Kuttickattil Gardens Homestay offers fishing facilities to our guest , we provide net , hook and stick for catching fishes form the in front river. The fishing techniques in Kerala are very old and the Kerala fishermen are well known to be experts in the skills of fishing with their greatest asset being the knowledge of fish, fish habits.
Paddy Field
In front of the home stay lies a 5 acre-stretch of paddy field. Since rice and fish are farmed here in rotation once a year, tourists can see it for themselves and learn about it besides savoring the natural and scenic beauty of the place. The most important thing is that the trees that stand on the land form a green canopy overhead. This encourages the visitors to walk about freely under the shade, making the stay pleasant and enjoyable.
